Kagame receives Gabon President

Arriving at Kigali International Airport at around 11:00am on a one-day state visit, Bongo was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community, Louise Mushikiwabo; Chief Defence Staff, Gen. Patrick Nyamvumba, Inspector General of Police, CG Emmanuel Gasana and other government officials.

Bongo held discussions with Kagame in Village Urugwiro yesterday afternoon.

Speaking to National Broadcaster, RBA, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community, Louise Mushikiwabo said that both heads of States discussed bilateral relations, African Union and the Economic Community of Central African States.

The bilateral relationship between Rwanda and Gabon have been well as in May 2015, President Ali Bongo welcomed Rwanda’s request to reintegrate in the Economic Community of Central African States (CEEAC).
