La finale du \u00ab\u202fWRC Safari Rally 2026\u202f\u00bb, disput\u00e9e le 15 mars 2026 \u00e0 Naivasha (Kenya), a vu l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de deux voitures rwandaises sur les quatre engag\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

La derni\u00e8re journ\u00e9e a par ailleurs \u00e9t\u00e9 difficile pour Davite Giancarlo et Yoto Fabrice, au volant d\u2019une Subaru Impreza WRX STi 4D, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 contraints \u00e0 l\u2019abandon apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e9tape 17 sur 20 de cette comp\u00e9tition de quatre jours.<\/p>\n

Christian Kanangire et Kevin Shyaka, seul duo rwandais restant en lice, ont r\u00e9alis\u00e9 une performance exceptionnelle, terminant troisi\u00e8mes dans la deuxi\u00e8me cat\u00e9gorie du Championnat Africain des Rallyes (ARC), un moment historique pour le Rwanda, puisque c\u2019est la premi\u00e8re participation et arriv\u00e9e d\u2019un pilote rwandais dans un rallye WRC.<\/p>\n

En 2023, Giancarlo Davite avait particip\u00e9 au WRC Safari Rally au Kenya, mais n\u2019avait pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 terminer la course, malgr\u00e9 son engagement aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de Sylvia Vindevogel dans une Ford Fiesta Rally2 (R5) en cat\u00e9gorie WRC2.<\/p>\n

Pour Kanangire, le succ\u00e8s lors du WRC Safari Rally r\u00e9sulte de la pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance et de la fiert\u00e9 de repr\u00e9senter le Rwanda, malgr\u00e9 la difficult\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9preuve.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u202fLe rallye a \u00e9t\u00e9 extr\u00eamement difficile, et nous remercions Dieu d\u2019avoir pu le terminer. Simplement franchir la ligne d\u2019arriv\u00e9e constituait d\u00e9j\u00e0 un exploit. Nous avons termin\u00e9 \u00e0 une excellente position dans notre cat\u00e9gorie. Certes, nous aurions pu viser la premi\u00e8re place, mais quelques probl\u00e8mes sont survenus. Malgr\u00e9 tout, nous sommes fiers que le drapeau rwandais ait figur\u00e9 en bonne position\u202f\u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Ce pilote international a termin\u00e9 neuvi\u00e8me dans la premi\u00e8re cat\u00e9gorie du Championnat Africain des Rallyes (ARC), remport\u00e9 par le K\u00e9nyan Patel Karan, et 27\u1d49 du Championnat du Monde des Rallyes (WRC).<\/p>\n
