Le chef du Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generaci\u00f3n (CJNG), l\u2019un des barons de la drogue les plus recherch\u00e9s au monde, a \u00e9t\u00e9 gri\u00e8vement bless\u00e9 lors d\u2019une op\u00e9ration militaire dans l\u2019\u00c9tat de Jalisco et est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 alors qu\u2019il \u00e9tait \u00e9vacu\u00e9 vers un h\u00f4pital.<\/p>\n

L\u2019op\u00e9ration, men\u00e9e par l\u2019arm\u00e9e mexicaine avec le soutien d\u2019agences de renseignement am\u00e9ricaines, visait \u00e0 capturer Oseguera Cervantes, figure centrale du trafic international de drogues et responsable d\u2019un vaste r\u00e9seau criminel. Plusieurs membres de son organisation ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9s sur place, selon des sources officielles.<\/p>\n

En r\u00e9action \u00e0 sa mort, des membres du CJNG ont dress\u00e9 des barrages routiers, incendiant voitures et camions, des incidents signal\u00e9s dans au moins 20 \u00c9tats mexicains. Guadalajara, capitale de Jalisco, est devenue une ville quasi-d\u00e9serte dimanche soir, les habitants restant chez eux par mesure de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

La disparition d\u2019\u00ab\u202fEl\u202fMencho\u202f\u00bb constitue le coup le plus muscl\u00e9 port\u00e9 \u00e0 un cartel au Mexique depuis plus d\u2019une d\u00e9cennie, succ\u00e9dant \u00e0 la capture en 2016 de Joaqu\u00edn \u00ab\u202fEl Chapo\u202f\u00bb Guzm\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

Face \u00e0 cette mont\u00e9e d\u2019agitation, les autorit\u00e9s ont pris des mesures d\u2019urgence\u202f: suspension des cours dans plusieurs \u00c9tats, annulation de vols et alertes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans diff\u00e9rentes r\u00e9gions. La pr\u00e9sidente du Mexique, Claudia Sheinbaum, a appel\u00e9 \u00e0 la retenue et au calme, tandis que des renforts de forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l\u2019international, les gouvernements am\u00e9ricain, guat\u00e9malt\u00e8que et europ\u00e9ens ont salu\u00e9 l\u2019op\u00e9ration tout en invitant leurs citoyens \u00e0 faire preuve de prudence et \u00e0 \u00e9viter les d\u00e9placements non essentiels.<\/p>\n
