Dans son r\u00e9cit, elle raconte l\u2019horreur v\u00e9cue et la force n\u00e9cessaire pour continuer \u00e0 vivre quand tout s\u2019effondre. Son t\u00e9moignage, authentique et poignant, parle de courage et d\u2019espoir, et ne laisse personne indemne.<\/p>\n<p>{{La m\u00e9moire au c\u0153ur du livre}}<\/p>\n<p>Dans l\u2019introduction du livre inspir\u00e9 de sa vie, l\u2019historien Bernard Wilkin revient sur leur premi\u00e8re rencontre en 2024 :<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u202fMa premi\u00e8re rencontre avec Jos\u00e9phine Uwimana a \u00e9t\u00e9 un moment profond\u00e9ment marquant. Cette femme courageuse a accept\u00e9 de nous livrer son t\u00e9moignage\u2026 Pendant plusieurs heures, elle a affront\u00e9 son pass\u00e9 monstrueux avec d\u00e9termination, et nous avons compris l\u2019importance de transmettre son histoire. Gr\u00e2ce au soutien de l\u2019\u00e9cole Umuco de Li\u00e8ge, des Territoires de la M\u00e9moire et d\u2019illustrateurs talentueux, son t\u00e9moignage prend aujourd\u2019hui forme dans un livre illustr\u00e9 destin\u00e9 aux jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, m\u00ealant m\u00e9moire, r\u00e9silience, tol\u00e9rance et espoir.\u202f\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Pour Jos\u00e9phine, ce livre est avant tout un moyen de parler de sa famille. Elle y \u00e9voque sa fratrie d\u00e9cim\u00e9e, ses huit enfants et ses deux parents disparus lors du g\u00e9nocide. C\u2019est pour leur m\u00e9moire et pour transmettre aux jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations les valeurs de r\u00e9silience, de courage et d\u2019espoir que son r\u00e9cit a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en forme dans ce livre illustr\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>{{Un outil p\u00e9dagogique pour les jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations}}<\/p>\n<p>Karurenzi Donatille, coauteure, explique la cr\u00e9ation de ce livre illustr\u00e9, fruit d\u2019un partenariat entre Ishuri Umuco de Li\u00e8ge et Les Territoires de la M\u00e9moire. Le livret permet de transmettre le r\u00e9cit de Jos\u00e9phine aux jeunes g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, perp\u00e9tuant le devoir de m\u00e9moire tout en enseignant la r\u00e9silience, la tol\u00e9rance et l\u2019espoir.<\/p>\n<p>Interrog\u00e9 par IGIHE, Micha\u00ebl Bisschops, pr\u00e9sident des Territoires de la M\u00e9moire, souligne l\u2019importance de ce projet :<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u202fNous choisissons la parole plut\u00f4t que le silence, la m\u00e9moire plut\u00f4t que la haine.\u202f\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Chaque page plonge le lecteur dans le Rwanda tel qu\u2019il \u00e9tait pour Jos\u00e9phine, m\u00ealant la beaut\u00e9 de ses collines et l\u2019horreur des \u00e9v\u00e9nements v\u00e9cus, magnifiquement mis en sc\u00e8ne par l\u2019illustrateur Pierre Bailly. Un ouvrage qui touche autant qu\u2019il \u00e9duque, transformant un t\u00e9moignage individuel en une le\u00e7on universelle pour les nouvelles g\u00e9n\u00e9rations.<\/p>\n<p>Voici quelques photos marquantes de la journ\u00e9e de lancement du livre Seule sur ma colline \u00e0 Li\u00e8ge, accueillie au si\u00e8ge des Territoires de la M\u00e9moire.
