La peine a \u00e9t\u00e9 confirm\u00e9e en appel le 3 d\u00e9cembre dernier par le tribunal de Tizi Ouzou, dans l\u2019est de l\u2019Alg\u00e9rie, mettant fin \u00e0 l\u2019espoir d\u2019une r\u00e9duction de sentence. Gleizes a d\u00e9sormais d\u00e9pos\u00e9 un pourvoi en cassation, une d\u00e9marche annonc\u00e9e par ses avocats \u00e0 la veille des requ\u00eates diplomatiques et de la lettre de sa m\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

\u00c2g\u00e9 de 36 ans et chroniqueur pour les magazines fran\u00e7ais So Foot et Society, Gleizes avait \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9 le 28 mai 2024 \u00e0 Tizi Ouzou alors qu\u2019il pr\u00e9parait un reportage sur le club de football local Jeunesse Sportive de Kabylie (JSK).<\/p>\n

Il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 condamn\u00e9 en juin 2025 pour \u00ab\u202fapologie du terrorisme\u202f\u00bb et possession de publications jug\u00e9es \u00ab\u202fpropagandistes et nuisibles \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat national\u202f\u00bb, des accusations que ses soutiens jugent infond\u00e9es et disproportionn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Par ailleurs, la condamnation de Gleizes a suscit\u00e9 une vague de soutien en France\u202f:<\/p>\n

Le gouvernement fran\u00e7ais a vivement regrett\u00e9 la lourde peine inflig\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019un de ses ressortissants et assure \u00eatre \u00ab\u202fmobilis\u00e9\u202f\u00bb pour sa lib\u00e9ration.<\/p>\n

Plusieurs clubs de Ligue\u202f1 ont publiquement appel\u00e9 \u00e0 sa lib\u00e9ration, amplifiant le mouvement #FreeGleizes sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux du monde du football.<\/p>\n

Des ONG comme Reporters sans fronti\u00e8res (RSF) et le Committee to Protect Journalists d\u00e9noncent une grave atteinte \u00e0 la libert\u00e9 de la presse et demandent la cessation des poursuites contre les journalistes en Alg\u00e9rie.<\/p>\n

En outre, le dossier de Gleizes se situe au c\u0153ur de tensions diplomatiques grandissantes entre Paris et Alger, d\u00e9j\u00e0 nourries par des incidents sensibles et des d\u00e9saccords sur le\u00a0plan\u00a0politique.<\/p>\n
