Depuis son d\u00e9part, aucune communication officielle n\u2019a, \u00e0 ce jour, \u00e9t\u00e9 faite concernant la date de son retour, une situation qui alimente les sp\u00e9culations sur son \u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 et suscite des interrogations sur sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 continuer \u00e0 diriger pleinement le pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le gouvernement camerounais, par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire du ministre de la Communication, Ren\u00e9 Emmanuel Sadi, nie cat\u00e9goriquement toute hospitalisation. La Pr\u00e9sidence continue d\u2019\u00e9mettre des messages officiels sous le nom du chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 du parti au pouvoir, le Rassemblement d\u00e9mocratique du peuple camerounais (RDPC), les responsables assurent que les institutions \u00ab fonctionnent normalement et qu\u2019il n\u2019existe aucune situation de vacance du pouvoir \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Face aux critiques grandissantes, le RDPC a convoqu\u00e9 ce mercredi une rare r\u00e9union de ses principaux dirigeants. La rencontre a \u00e9t\u00e9 initi\u00e9e par Jean Nkuete, secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du comit\u00e9 central du parti, qui a simplement \u00e9voqu\u00e9 une \u00ab importante s\u00e9ance de travail \u00bb, sans pr\u00e9ciser l\u2019ordre du jour ni \u00e9tablir de lien direct avec l\u2019absence du pr\u00e9sident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette r\u00e9union intervient alors que plusieurs voix de l\u2019opposition r\u00e9clament davantage de transparence sur la situation du chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat. Le d\u00e9put\u00e9 Jean-Michel Nintcheu a notamment demand\u00e9 que le Conseil constitutionnel examine la question d\u2019une \u00e9ventuelle vacance du pouvoir, estimant que l\u2019absence prolong\u00e9e du pr\u00e9sident n\u00e9cessite des clarifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au pouvoir depuis 1982, Paul Biya est connu pour ses longs s\u00e9jours \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger, notamment en Europe. Toutefois, la dur\u00e9e actuelle de son absence, combin\u00e9e \u00e0 son \u00e2ge avanc\u00e9, ravive de nouveau les interrogations sur son \u00e9tat de sant\u00e9 et sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 assurer pleinement ses fonctions pr\u00e9sidentielles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
