Au-del\u00e0 de son caract\u00e8re festif, l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement a \u00e9galement permis de revenir sur les r\u00e9alisations de l\u2019ann\u00e9e scolaire 2025-2026 de cette \u00e9cole, cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 2019 afin de promouvoir la langue kinyarwanda et la culture rwandaise aupr\u00e8s des enfants de la diaspora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans son discours, le directeur fondateur d\u2019Ishuri-Umuco, Eric Twagirimana, a remerci\u00e9 les parents pour leur confiance, ainsi que les enseignants et les b\u00e9n\u00e9voles qui contribuent au d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019\u00e9cole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Je remercie tous ceux qui sont venus soutenir l\u2019\u00c9cole Umuco. C\u2019est toujours un immense plaisir de voir autant de personnes participer \u00e0 nos activit\u00e9s, car nous ne pouvons rien accomplir sans votre soutien \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il est \u00e9galement revenu sur le voyage effectu\u00e9 au Rwanda en f\u00e9vrier 2026 par les \u00e9l\u00e8ves, leurs parents et les enseignants d\u2019Ishuri-Umuco. Il a soulign\u00e9 que cette initiative a constitu\u00e9 l\u2019un des moments forts de l\u2019ann\u00e9e et a exprim\u00e9 sa reconnaissance envers les institutions rwandaises qui ont contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite de ce projet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Cette ann\u00e9e a \u00e9t\u00e9 exceptionnelle. En f\u00e9vrier, nous avons effectu\u00e9 un magnifique voyage au Rwanda. Comme vous pouvez le constater, cette exp\u00e9rience a permis aux enfants de renforcer leurs liens et de mieux prendre conscience de leur identit\u00e9 rwandaise \u00bb, a-t-il expliqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eric Twagirimana a indiqu\u00e9 que ce voyage illustre parfaitement les objectifs poursuivis par Ishuri-Umuco. Il a notamment \u00e9voqu\u00e9 le t\u00e9moignage d\u2019un parent qui lui a confi\u00e9 ne plus devoir insister pour que son enfant participe aux activit\u00e9s de l\u2019\u00e9cole, ce qu\u2019il consid\u00e8re comme un signe encourageant de l\u2019atteinte des objectifs fix\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Le premier objectif de l\u2019\u00c9cole Umuco est d\u2019apprendre aux enfants \u00e0 aimer leur pays et leur culture \u00bb, a-t-il soulign\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pr\u00e9server la culture et les valeurs rwandaises<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eric Twagirimana a indiqu\u00e9 que, malgr\u00e9 les progr\u00e8s accomplis, l\u2019\u00e9cole souhaiterait disposer de davantage de temps pour l\u2019apprentissage. Actuellement, les \u00e9l\u00e8ves se r\u00e9unissent seulement deux fois par mois pour suivre des cours de kinyarwanda et participer \u00e0 des activit\u00e9s culturelles, notamment la danse traditionnelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il estime toutefois que l\u2019essentiel est atteint : permettre aux enfants n\u00e9s ou \u00e9lev\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger de conserver un lien fort avec leurs origines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00ab Ce que les parents souhaitaient avant tout, c\u2019\u00e9tait transmettre \u00e0 leurs enfants leur culture et leurs racines. Je pense que nous avons r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 atteindre cet objectif \u00bb, a-t-il affirm\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Plusieurs parents ayant pris la parole ont salu\u00e9 les progr\u00e8s r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par les \u00e9l\u00e8ves au cours de cette ann\u00e9e scolaire. Ils ont \u00e9galement appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s par l\u2019\u00e9cole pour adapter son enseignement aux r\u00e9alit\u00e9s des enfants vivant dans un environnement multiculturel, tout en leur permettant de mieux conna\u00eetre leurs origines et de s\u2019int\u00e9grer harmonieusement dans les soci\u00e9t\u00e9s qui accueillent leurs familles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De nouvelles ambitions pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e prochaine<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e scolaire \u00e0 venir, Ishuri-Umuco entend poursuivre son d\u00e9veloppement et mettre davantage en valeur les talents de ses \u00e9l\u00e8ves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eric Twagirimana a annonc\u00e9 l\u2019organisation prochaine d\u2019\u00ab Igitaramo \u00bb, un spectacle culturel mettant \u00e0 l\u2019honneur les danses et les chants traditionnels rwandais, ainsi que les diff\u00e9rents talents des \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Cette activit\u00e9 leur permettra de mettre en pratique les connaissances acquises et de faire d\u00e9couvrir aux autres communaut\u00e9s la richesse de la culture rwandaise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prenant \u00e9galement la parole, Kubwimana Josu\u00e9, pr\u00e9sident de la Diaspora Rwandaise de Belgique (DRB), section de Li\u00e8ge, et directeur adjoint d\u2019Ishuri-Umuco, a rappel\u00e9 que cette \u00e9cole ne constitue pas seulement un lieu d\u2019apprentissage, mais \u00e9galement un espace de transmission des valeurs, de l\u2019histoire et de la culture rwandaises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Il a invit\u00e9 les parents \u00e0 poursuivre leur soutien \u00e0 cette initiative, estimant que l\u2019unit\u00e9, la solidarit\u00e9 et la pr\u00e9servation du patrimoine culturel constituent des piliers essentiels pour l\u2019avenir de la communaut\u00e9 rwandaise de Li\u00e8ge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie s\u2019est achev\u00e9e dans une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale, les participants se donnant rendez-vous en septembre 2026 pour une nouvelle ann\u00e9e d\u2019apprentissage, de
