Con\u00e7u \u00e0 l&#8217;origine pour une mission principale d&#8217;un an, le vaisseau spatial a op\u00e9r\u00e9 sur la plan\u00e8te rouge pendant plus de onze ans et d\u00e9pass\u00e9 de plus de dix ans sa dur\u00e9e de vie de mission pr\u00e9vue, selon la NASA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le dernier contact avec le vaisseau spatial remonte au 6 d\u00e9cembre 2025, date \u00e0 laquelle il a subi une perte de signal inattendue apr\u00e8s \u00eatre pass\u00e9 derri\u00e8re Mars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La NASA a convoqu\u00e9 un comit\u00e9 d&#8217;examen des anomalies en f\u00e9vrier afin d&#8217;\u00e9valuer les efforts de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration et l&#8217;\u00e9tat du vaisseau spatial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le comit\u00e9 d&#8217;examen a d\u00e9termin\u00e9 que le vaisseau spatial MAVEN n&#8217;\u00e9tait pas r\u00e9cup\u00e9rable et qu&#8217;il n&#8217;\u00e9tait plus en mesure d&#8217;accomplir sa mission scientifique et de relais de donn\u00e9es, ce qui correspond aux conclusions de l&#8217;\u00e9quipe de mission, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 la NASA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les conclusions pr\u00e9liminaires sugg\u00e8rent que le vaisseau spatial est entr\u00e9 dans une rotation \u00e0 grande vitesse apr\u00e8s \u00eatre pass\u00e9 derri\u00e8re Mars, perturbant sa trajectoire orbitale et finissant par \u00e9puiser ses batteries. La perte d&#8217;alimentation qui en a r\u00e9sult\u00e9 pour le syst\u00e8me de communication a emp\u00each\u00e9 MAVEN de contacter la Terre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L&#8217;agence a not\u00e9 que la cause profonde de l&#8217;anomalie fait toujours l&#8217;objet d&#8217;une enqu\u00eate et qu&#8217;un rapport final est attendu dans le courant de l&#8217;ann\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La NASA a entam\u00e9 le processus officiel de d\u00e9mant\u00e8lement de la mission, en suivant les proc\u00e9dures standard visant \u00e0 archiver l&#8217;ensemble des donn\u00e9es de la mission \u00e0 l&#8217;intention des communaut\u00e9s scientifiques et d&#8217;exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;La science que MAVEN nous a apport\u00e9e est essentielle pour nous informer du type de mesures de protection contre les rayonnements et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 que nous devons prendre avant d&#8217;envoyer des humains sur Mars&#8221;, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Louise Prockter, directrice de la division des sciences plan\u00e9taires au si\u00e8ge de la NASA \u00e0
