Selon un communiqu\u00e9 officiel du Bureau du Pr\u00e9sident, la remise de la ceinture a eu lieu peu apr\u00e8s la cl\u00f4ture des Championnats du monde de cyclisme sur route 2025, qui se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9s au Rwanda du 21 au 28 septembre. \u00ab Carlos Takam a \u00e9galement offert au Pr\u00e9sident une ceinture originale de champion du monde WBC en hommage au Rwanda et \u00e0 la mission de la Fondation \u00bb, indique le communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Boxeur poids lourds reconnu sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale, Carlos Takam a affront\u00e9 des adversaires de haut niveau tels qu\u2019Anthony Joshua et Joseph Parker. N\u00e9 au Cameroun en 1980 et install\u00e9 en France pour poursuivre sa carri\u00e8re, il est aujourd\u2019hui consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l\u2019un des meilleurs boxeurs africains. Il est \u00e9galement le fondateur de la Carlos Takam Foundation, qui soutient l\u2019\u00e9ducation, la sant\u00e9 et le sport pour les enfants en Afrique.<\/p>\n

Par ailleurs, le Pr\u00e9sident Kagame a rencontr\u00e9 le m\u00eame jour, Magdeleine Vallieres Mill, la cycliste canadienne ayant marqu\u00e9 l\u2019histoire en remportant la course sur route \u00e9lite f\u00e9minine lors des Championnats du monde de cyclisme sur route 2025, devenant la premi\u00e8re Canadienne \u00e0 d\u00e9crocher le maillot arc-en-ciel. Vallieres Mill a franchi la ligne d\u2019arriv\u00e9e apr\u00e8s 164,6 km et 11 tours \u00e0 Kigali en 4 heures, 34 minutes et 48 secondes, devan\u00e7ant de 23 secondes la N\u00e9o-Z\u00e9landaise Niamh Fisher-Black.<\/p>\n
