Cette tentative d’assassinat de l’ancien candidat r\u00e9publicain \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidence avait eu lieu quelques semaines avant l’\u00e9lection de novembre 2024 et deux mois apr\u00e8s une autre tentative d’assassinat en Pennsylvanie, au cours de laquelle M. Trump avait \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u00e9g\u00e8rement bless\u00e9 \u00e0 l’oreille par une balle.<\/p>\n

M. Routh, 59 ans, a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnu coupable de tentative d’assassinat d’un candidat important \u00e0 l’\u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle, d’agression d’un agent f\u00e9d\u00e9ral, ainsi que de trois infractions f\u00e9d\u00e9rales li\u00e9es aux armes \u00e0 feu d\u00e9coulant de l’incident du 15 septembre 2024. Il risque la prison \u00e0 vie lors du verdict de sa condamnation.<\/p>\n

La juge Aileen Cannon, de la Cour f\u00e9d\u00e9rale du district sud de Floride, a supervis\u00e9 le proc\u00e8s, au cours duquel M. Routh a assur\u00e9 lui-m\u00eame sa d\u00e9fense.<\/p>\n

“Le verdict de culpabilit\u00e9 rendu aujourd’hui contre Ryan Routh, l’assassin pr\u00e9sum\u00e9 de M. Trump, illustre l’engagement du minist\u00e8re de la Justice \u00e0 punir ceux qui se livrent \u00e0 des violences politiques”, a affirm\u00e9 la ministre de la Justice des Etats-Unis, Pamela Bondi, dans un communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

M. Trump a qualifi\u00e9 cela de “moment tr\u00e8s important pour la JUSTICE AUX ETATS-UNIS” dans un message publi\u00e9 sur les r\u00e9seaux sociaux.<\/p>\n
