Les policiers ont intercept\u00e9 un minibus jug\u00e9s suspect, \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur duquel \u00e9taient dissimul\u00e9s plusieurs ballots de chanvre indien. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019appui de B\u00e9nin Control, une entreprise partenaire de la douane, la marchandise a \u00e9t\u00e9 pes\u00e9e et \u00e9valu\u00e9e \u00e0 1 240,05 kilos, soit plus d\u2019une tonne de drogue retir\u00e9e du trafic ill\u00e9gal.<\/p>\n<p>Le chauffeur n\u2019a pas r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 \u00e9chapper aux autorit\u00e9s. Lors de son arrestation, les agents ont saisi une somme de 200 000 francs CFA en liquide. Selon les premiers \u00e9l\u00e9ments de l\u2019enqu\u00eate, cet argent aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 destin\u00e9 \u00e0 corrompre les policiers afin de franchir le barrage sans encombre.<\/p>\n<p>Les autorit\u00e9s b\u00e9ninoises ont salu\u00e9 cette saisie, qu\u2019elles consid\u00e8rent comme un coup important port\u00e9 aux trafics de drogue qui transitent fr\u00e9quemment par les zones frontali\u00e8res.
