Ce pays insulaire des Cara\u00efbes de l\u2019Est se pr\u00e9pare \u00e0 accueillir la Conf\u00e9rence du Commonwealth en 2026.<\/p>\n

Son Parlement a r\u00e9cemment ratifi\u00e9 plusieurs accords internationaux, notamment avec le Rwanda, le Qatar et l\u2019Allemagne, dans le but de renforcer et d\u00e9velopper le transport a\u00e9rien.<\/p>\n

Charles \u2018Max\u2019 Fernandez, Ministre du Tourisme et du Transport de l’Antigua-et-Barbuda, a indiqu\u00e9 que l\u2019accord refl\u00e8te la volont\u00e9 de son pays d\u2019intensifier les \u00e9changes avec l\u2019Afrique, continent dont plus de 90 % des habitants du pays sont originaires.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Cet accord avec le Rwanda t\u00e9moigne de la volont\u00e9 du Gouvernement d\u2019\u00e9largir et consolider nos relations avec l\u2019Afrique \u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Max Fernandez a ajout\u00e9 que, si les n\u00e9gociations aboutissent, ‘RwandAir’ pourrait lancer des vols vers les Cara\u00efbes d\u00e8s l\u2019ann\u00e9e prochaine, ce qui contribuerait \u00e0 faciliter le transport des participants \u00e0 la Conf\u00e9rence du Commonwealth.<\/p>\n

Le Premier ministre Gaston Browne a indiqu\u00e9 que son gouvernement entend promouvoir le commerce, le tourisme et l\u2019investissement avec l\u2019Afrique, soulignant la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de liaisons a\u00e9riennes et maritimes fr\u00e9quentes.<\/p>\n

Antigua-et-Barbuda, compos\u00e9 de plusieurs \u00eeles, dont Antigua et Barbuda, est ind\u00e9pendant depuis 1981. <\/p>\n

Toutefois, le Roi du Royaume-Uni en demeure le chef d\u2019\u00c9tat, repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 localement par un gouverneur, tandis que le Premier ministre dirige le gouvernement en collaboration en collaboration avec le Parlement.<\/p>\n
