S’exprimant sur la plateforme X, le Pr\u00e9sident Kagame a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 avoir eu un \u00e9change constructif avec son homologue s\u00e9n\u00e9galais.<\/p>\n

“J’ai eu une excellente conversation avec le Pr\u00e9sident Bassirou Diomaye Faye sur l’importance de la coop\u00e9ration du continent africain dans la recherche de solutions durables aux probl\u00e8mes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 dans la r\u00e9gion et au-del\u00e0.”<\/p>\n

Le Chef de l’Etat a \u00e9galement affirm\u00e9 que “le Rwanda est pr\u00eat \u00e0 renforcer sa collaboration avec le S\u00e9n\u00e9gal pour le d\u00e9veloppement des populations des deux pays.”<\/p>\n

En mai 2024, le Pr\u00e9sident Kagame s’est rendu au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal et s’est entretenu avec le Pr\u00e9sident Faye. En juin de la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e, les deux dirigeants se sont de nouveau rencontr\u00e9s en France au Forum mondial pour la souverainet\u00e9 et l’innovation vaccinales o\u00f9 ils ont tenu des discussions.<\/p>\n

Le 2 avril 2024, lors de la c\u00e9r\u00e9monie d’investiture du Pr\u00e9sident Faye, le Rwanda \u00e9tait repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par le Premier ministre, Dr. Ngirente Edouard, qui a saisi cette occasion pour \u00e9changer sur divers sujets d’int\u00e9r\u00eat commun.<\/p>\n

L’Ambassade du Rwanda au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal a \u00e9t\u00e9 inaugur\u00e9e en 2011. En 2021, elle a c\u00e9l\u00e9br\u00e9 son 10e anniversaire.<\/p>\n

Les deux pays ont sign\u00e9 plusieurs accords de coop\u00e9ration, notamment dans le domaine culturel en 1975, un accord de coop\u00e9ration g\u00e9n\u00e9rale en 2004, un accord portant sur la cr\u00e9ation d’une commission mixte permanente en 2016, ainsi qu’un partenariat entre la Rwanda Broadcasting Agency (RBA) et la Radio T\u00e9l\u00e9vision du S\u00e9n\u00e9gal.<\/p>\n

Le S\u00e9n\u00e9gal accueille une importante communaut\u00e9 rwandaise, compos\u00e9e d’\u00e9tudiants ainsi que de personnes install\u00e9es dans le pays depuis plus de 40 ans.<\/p>\n
