Chapo, \u00e2g\u00e9 de 48 ans, a remport\u00e9 les \u00e9lections d’octobre 2024 avec 65,15 % des voix. Cependant, sa victoire avait tout de suite \u00e9t\u00e9 contest\u00e9e par ses opposants, qui ont ensuite organis\u00e9 des manifestations \u00e0 travers le pays.<\/p>\n

Le leader de l’opposition, Venancio Mondlane, r\u00e9cemment revenu d’exil volontairement, avait promis de “paralyser” le pays avant l’inauguration de Chapo. <\/p>\n

Toutefois, Chapo et son parti, FRELIMO, ont appel\u00e9 \u00e0 la retenue, affirmant continuer leurs efforts \u00e0 engager un dialogue avec l’opposition.<\/p>\n

Le Rwanda et le Mozambique entretiennent des relations solides dans des domaines tels que le commerce, la justice et la s\u00e9curit\u00e9. <\/p>\n

Depuis 2021, des forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 rwandaises sont pr\u00e9sentes au Mozambique dans le but de lutter contre les insurg\u00e9s qui d\u00e9stabilisent la r\u00e9gion de Cabo Delgado.<\/p>\n

Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l’intervention du Rwanda, notamment contre le groupe terroriste Al Sunnah wa Jama’ah, de nombreux chefs de ce groupe ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9limin\u00e9s, et plus de 90 % de gens qui habitaient Cabo Delgado ont pu retourner chez eux, la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9tablie et les services sociaux et \u00e9conomiques \u00e9tant d\u00e9sormais op\u00e9rationnels.<\/p>\n

Chapo a r\u00e9affirm\u00e9 son engagement \u00e0 intensifier ses efforts pour restaurer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 Cabo Delgado, poursuivant ainsi la politique de son pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseur, le Pr\u00e9sident Filipe Nyusi.<\/p>\n
