{"id":980,"date":"2011-10-13T11:26:51","date_gmt":"2011-10-13T11:26:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/blackberry-users-to-be-compensated\/"},"modified":"2011-10-13T11:25:00","modified_gmt":"2011-10-13T11:25:00","slug":"blackberry-users-to-be-compensated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/blackberry-users-to-be-compensated\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackberry Users To Be Compensated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{Blackberry users in Rwanda are yet to be compensated for the loss they incurred during the previous three days disconnection.<br \/>\n}}<\/p>\n<p>Canada&#8217;s largest technology campany Research In Motion Ltd (RIM) officials announced today that BlackBerry services had been restored around the world after the worst service outage in the history.<\/p>\n<p>RIM co-chief executives Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis({{Below}}) said the company had solved the underlying issues which caused a BlackBerry blackout and that they were taking measures to ensure the problem doesn\u2019t reoccur.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-809 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/rim.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>According to Yvonne Manzi Makolo the Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Rwanda the telecom company that provided them network, the company is looking into terms of compensating their esteemed clients.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlackberry users are back on service and things should be running normally as usual. We are currently monitoring the traffic usage on our systems but otherwise things are back to normal.\u201d Manzi Makolo has said by her cell phone.<\/p>\n<p>Manzi Makolo also said that only 3000 blackberry subscribers were affected in Rwanda but have been fully reconnected to the normal service line network.<\/p>\n<p>Blackberry users in the whole world faced the problem resulting from its system failure at Research In Motion (RIM) Company in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>This comes minutes after a statement from the blackberry website read \u201cThe back-up system did not operate in the way we would expect however, services have improved significantly&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Robin Bienfait, chief information officer of RIM, the Canada-based owner of Blackberry, issued an apology for the ongoing issues.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou&#8217;ve depended on us for reliable, real-time communications, and right now we&#8217;re letting you down.
