{"id":9728,"date":"2013-08-14T07:33:17","date_gmt":"2013-08-14T07:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rdf-officers-train-on-prevention-response-to\/"},"modified":"2013-08-16T10:05:48","modified_gmt":"2013-08-16T10:05:48","slug":"rdf-officers-train-on-prevention-response-to","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rdf-officers-train-on-prevention-response-to\/","title":{"rendered":"RDF Officers Train on Prevention &#038; Response to Conflict \u2013Related Sexual Violence in Peacekeeping Theatres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{Rwanda Peace Academy is hosting a two-day course on \u201cPrevention and Response to Conflict \u2013Related Sexual Violence in Peacekeeping Theatres.\u201d }} <\/p>\n<p>The course that opened today is a result of collaborative efforts between the UN Women, the Department of  Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO), and the Rwanda Peace Academy on behalf of the Government of Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the training is to arm uniformed peacekeepers with positive illustrative examples of how to effectively respond to sexual violence in conflict and post conflict environments. <\/p>\n<p>The training is centered on the scenario-based training modules for UN military personnel on the specifics of preventing and responding to sexual violence.
