Traffic commandant Samuel Kimaru told Capital FM news that the bus that was ferrying passengers from Nairobi to Siaya overturned after the driver hit a culvert.<\/p>\n
Those killed include a man and three women who died on the spot in the 1 am incident\u2014according to police.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe bus veered off the road as the driver attempted to avoid hitting an oncoming trailer,\u201d Kimaru said \u201cit is apparent the bus was on a high speed at the time of the accident.\u201d<\/p>\n
Forty five other passengers were injured in the accident and taken to the Gilgil District Hospital where some were still admitted.<\/p>\n
