The keynote speaker is Sir George Alleyne, the director emeritus of the Pan American Health Organisation. His presentation is titled \u2018NCDs, Technical Collaboration between countries, and the Struggle for Development.\u2019<\/p>\n
Another speaker Srinath Reddy also president of the Public Health Foundation of India, will present a paper on planning and implementation strategies for fighting NCDs. <\/p>\n
NCDs, also known as chronic diseases, are not passed from person to person. The four main types of chronic diseases are cardiovascular diseases, cancers, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes. <\/p>\n
The conference has attracted policymakers, healthcare providers, and NCD experts aimed at exploring ways to fight NCDs of poverty in low- and middle-income countries. <\/p>\n
