{"id":896,"date":"2011-09-28T04:24:44","date_gmt":"2011-09-28T04:24:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/gender-equality-isn-t-just-about-girls-report\/"},"modified":"2011-09-28T04:21:55","modified_gmt":"2011-09-28T04:21:55","slug":"gender-equality-isn-t-just-about-girls-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/gender-equality-isn-t-just-about-girls-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Gender Equality Isn\u2019t Just About Girls-Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{The report titled \u201cBecause I am a girl\u201d focuses on young men, regarding them as part of the solution to eradicating poverty and attaining female empowerment.}}<\/p>\n<p>The report released surveyed Rwanda, United Kingdom, 1,000 young Canadians, as well as nearly 4000 teens from India, says 26 per cent in Rwanda hold similar tough-guy notions agreeing that gender equality is good for both men and women.<\/p>\n<p>While 90 per cent of Canadian youth said they agree gender equality is good for both men and women, nearly 45 per cent agree that being a man you need<br \/>\nto be tough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you see the famine in the Horn of Africa, for example, the instinctive reactionary response is to get aid and hands on the ground.
