\u201cHis Excellence the president of Rwanda, Paul Kagame has sent the prize money and it\u2019s with me. I want to commend him for his continued love for the game\u201d, said Cecafa Secretary General Nicholas Musonye.<\/p>\n
Kagame has been offering this same amount for the last dozen years and Musonye said he had promised to continue with the arrangement even after leaving politics. <\/p>\n
The money will be shared among the top three clubs with the champion walking away with U$ 30,000, the first runners-up U$ 20,000 and U$ 10,000 for the third placed club.<\/p>\n
The finals of the ongoing Cecafa-Kagame club championship will be played on Monday in El-Fasher City IN Sudan between APR FC and the winners in today\u2019s semi finals between Rayon Sport and Vital\u2019O. <\/p>\n
To storm the finals APR eliminated Express FC 2-0 in the quarter finals before edging El-Merreikh 3-1 on spot kick yesterday. <\/p>\n
Rayon Sport dumped URA 3-2 to reach the semis. If they win this afternoon, then the finals will be a derby of two Rwandese clubs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
