{{Former editor of Umurabyo newspaper Saidath Mukakibibi has regained her freedom after successfully completing a 3-year jail sentence.}}<\/p>\n

Before her sentencing in 2010, High Court had found Mukakibibi guilty of threatening state security.<\/p>\n

Mukakibibi has promised to carryon with her journalistic work as soon as possible;<\/p>\n

\u201cI was jailed as a journalist and I have been released as a journalist. Therefore I will continue with Journalism,\u201d Mukakibibi told Voice of America radio.<\/p>\n

Mikakibibi had been sentenced alongside with Umurabyo journalist Agnes Nkusi Uwimana. <\/p>\n

Court found Uwimana guilty of threatening state security, fuelling genocide ideology, divisionism and defamation.<\/p>\n
