Nelly Gisubizo, 6, was picked from a mining pond in Muhanga District. Residents say the boy drowned as he tried to swim into the pond. <\/p>\n
Another baby, Blaise Igisubizo, 18 months, also drowned into a pond at a construction site in Kicukiro District.<\/p>\n
Central Region Police Spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Urbain Mwiseneza said all cases are a result of parental negligence.<\/p>\n
Police is still conducting a postmortem to establish full details. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Police advised parents to take extra care of their children. Deliberate negligence that can cause damage or death of a child could lead to judicial punishment or denial of parental rights.<\/p>\n
