{"id":82,"date":"2011-04-29T08:59:28","date_gmt":"2011-04-29T08:59:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/primary-court-judge-nabbed-obtaining-bribe\/"},"modified":"2011-04-29T08:54:35","modified_gmt":"2011-04-29T08:54:35","slug":"primary-court-judge-nabbed-obtaining-bribe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/primary-court-judge-nabbed-obtaining-bribe\/","title":{"rendered":"Primary court judge nabbed obtaining bribe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A judge was recently caught red-handed in an act of corruption through a clever scheme masterminded by the Police. <span data-scaytid=\"2\" data-scayt_word=\"Liliane\">Liliane<\/span> <span data-scaytid=\"3\" data-scayt_word=\"Maombi\">Maombi<\/span>, a Judge at a primary court in <span data-scaytid=\"6\" data-scayt_word=\"Kanombe\">Kanombe<\/span>, <span data-scaytid=\"7\" data-scayt_word=\"Kicukiro\">Kicukiro<\/span> District of Kigali, was allegedly caught accepting a bribery of <span data-scaytid=\"9\" data-scayt_word=\"Rfw\">Rfw<\/span> 100,000 from one <span data-scaytid=\"10\" data-scayt_word=\"Francoise\">Francoise<\/span> <span data-scaytid=\"11\" data-scayt_word=\"Nyirabihogo\">Nyirabihogo<\/span>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The latter was alleged to have committed a criminal offense in a case, which through the progression of the trial did not seem to be turning in her <span data-scaytid=\"13\" data-scayt_word=\"favour\">favour<\/span> .<\/p>\n<p>This may have perhaps precipitated <span data-scaytid=\"4\" data-scayt_word=\"Maombi\">Maombi<\/span> to ask for a bribe to alleviate the punishment that <span data-scaytid=\"14\" data-scayt_word=\"Nyirabohogo\">Nyirabohogo<\/span>&nbsp;would potentially receive or better yet to turn the case around and exonerate her . This act of treachery prompted the defendant to take matters into her own hands and consult the police on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>This led to the formulation of a plot orchestrated by the police that would require <span data-scaytid=\"12\" data-scayt_word=\"Nyirabihogo\">Nyirabihogo<\/span> to go along with this conspiracy.<\/p>\n<p>The scheme was initiated Wednesday 27 April at around <span data-scaytid=\"1\" data-scayt_word=\"1.15p.m\">1.15p.m<\/span>. after the court\u2019s&nbsp;hearing. <span data-scaytid=\"15\" data-scayt_word=\"Nyirabihogi\">Nyirabihogi<\/span> went on to hand out the money to the accused. On receiving the amount, police officers immediately intercepted the money&nbsp;thereby catching her red-handed. Upon suspicion, the judge reacted by throwing away the bag containing the money, in a pretentious&nbsp;act of rejection.<\/p>\n<p>Witnesses within the vicinity confirmed the real intents of the accused, some of whom were insiders in the intrigue.<\/p>\n<p><span data-scaytid=\"5\" data-scayt_word=\"Maombi\">Maombi<\/span> is presently apprehended at the <span data-scaytid=\"8\" data-scayt_word=\"Kicukiro\">Kicukiro<\/span> Police station awaiting a trail.
