{{Tanzanian police said Saturday they have arrested five people in possession of explosives in the economic capital Dar es Salaam.}}<\/p>\n
\u201cFive people were arrested the day before yesterday (Thursday) in possession of explosives after a tip-off from patriotic citizens,\u201d Dar es Salaam\u2019s police chief Suleiman Kova told AFP.<\/p>\n
Asked if there was a link between the arrests and the May 5 deadly bombing at a church, Kova said: \u201cInvestigations are continuing into why these people had explosives and where they intended to take them.\u201d<\/p>\n
The bomb attack at a Catholic church in the northern city of Arusha had killed three people and wounded 60.<\/p>\n
Tanzanian daily Habari Leo, which is close to the government, reported that the five arrested were Tanzanian nationals.<\/p>\n
