{{Tanzania government has freed a Saudi national that had been arrested after a deadly attack a week ago that killed three people in a packed church.}}<\/p>\n
\u201cSaid bin Mohsen al-Mehri, who was arrested with other persons in Tanzania after the criminal attack on a church in Arusha in the north, has been freed,\u201d said Prince Khaled ben Saud Khaled, a deputy to the Saudi foreign minister.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo charge has been laid against him,\u201d the prince added that Mehri was \u201con his way home to the kingdom\u201d.<\/p>\n
The Saudi and three Emiratis were arrested along with five Tanzanians after last Sunday\u2019s bombing, described by Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete as \u201can act of terrorism\u201d.<\/p>\n
It was one of the worst such incidents to hit the east African country in years.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are three nationals of the United Arab Emirates and a Saudi\u2026 they were arrested while trying to cross the border\u201d into Kenya, Arusha\u2019s governor Magesa Mulongo told media.<\/p>\n
In addition to the three people killed in the blast, more than 60 people were injured when attackers hurled a bomb into the compound of the newly built Saint Joseph\u2019s Roman Catholic church.<\/p>\n
The church was celebrating its inaugural mass at the time and was filled with worshippers.<\/p>\n
