Serena Hotel has donated Frw 2 million to an association of vulnerable children resident at Kimironko sector in Gasabo district. <\/p>\n
A cheque worth Frw1.3million donation was handed to Abahumurizanya Association of vulnerable children. <\/p>\n
The children association also recieved other assorted items including; bed sheets, clothes, shoes and blankets among others. <\/p>\n
The association has more than 40 members and the government gave them houses they stay in.<\/p>\n
The Country Manager of Kigali Serena Hotel, Charles Muia, and hotel employees had visited the vulnerable children at their center in Kimironko while marking the 19th commemoration of the Genocide against Tutsi.<\/p>\n
During the 1994 genocide against ethnic Tutsis, over a million lives were lost.<\/p>\n
Muia noted,\u201cAs Serena Hotel, we are much aware of the hardship and responsibilities that you hold in taking care of yourselves and other children. That\u2019s why we decided to spend some time with you during this commemoration period.\u201d <\/p>\n
The association\u2019s president, David Tuganimana, appreciated the efforts done by the hotel staff saying that their support will bridge many gaps.<\/p>\n
