{{Rwanda has refuted media claims that it received one of the Democratic Liberation Forces of Rwanda (FDLR) commanders allegedly arrested in Tanzania Last week.}}<\/p>\n
According to a regional weekly publication ({The East African}), the Tanzanian intelligence had reportedly said Stanislas Bigaruka had been allegedly picked up last Monday near a Dar es Salaam Hotel by security operatives and handed him over to Rwanda.<\/p>\n
Rwanda\u2019s Minister of Justice Tharcise karugarama told IGIHE that he wasn\u2019t aware of any arrest of Bigaruka. <\/p>\n
He also said there was no pending case of someone by the name of Bigaruka, \u201cI don\u2019t know him and am not aware of such an arrest. \u201cI will find out about this information,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n
However, the Rwanda Defence Forces and Defence spokesman, Brig Gen. Joseph Nzabamwita said, the media reports about arrest of the said Bigaruka are enemy propaganda circulated by their network. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a rumour. FDLR is behind this propaganda,\u201d He said inquiring from this reporter whether he had seen any transfer documents exchanged between the Tanzania and Rwanda. <\/p>\n
\u201cHave you seen any transfer documents signed between Tanzania and Rwanda to prove Bigaruka\u2019s arrest and transfer?\u201d <\/p>\n
Prosecution Spokesperson Alain Mukuralinda told this reporter that prosecution wasn\u2019t aware of this arrest, \u201cif he is a military person arrested then he should have been handed over to the corresponding institution,\u201d adding that prosecution has no pending case involving the person of Bigaruka.\u201d<\/p>\n
Bigaruka is second-in-command to Sylvester Mudacumura also wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC). <\/p>\n
