{"id":7179,"date":"2013-04-15T06:49:49","date_gmt":"2013-04-15T06:49:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/google-kenya-site-compromised\/"},"modified":"2013-04-15T06:49:15","modified_gmt":"2013-04-15T06:49:15","slug":"google-kenya-site-compromised","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/google-kenya-site-compromised\/","title":{"rendered":"Google Kenya site compromised"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Global technology giant Google has been the victim of a cyber-attack. <\/p>\n<p>On Monday morning, their Kenyan domain google.co.ke did not have the usual doodle and search bar, instead the page splayed a black background \u2018hacked\u2019 stamped in red across it.<\/p>\n<p>The hacker who identified himself as TiGER-M@TE also said that he was from Bangaldesh, a country in South East Asia.<\/p>\n<p>When a user visited the page the hacked screen spiraled in as some foreign music played in the background. <\/p>\n<p>News of the cyber-attack spread on social media causing the site\u2019s to link shoot to the top of the trends. <\/p>\n<p>Social media users attached screen shots of the site and the images have gone viral.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Global technology giant Google has been the victim of a cyber-attack.
