{"id":7110,"date":"2013-04-12T05:07:39","date_gmt":"2013-04-12T05:07:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/genocide-survivor-angry-over-frequent-attacks\/"},"modified":"2013-04-12T05:09:15","modified_gmt":"2013-04-12T05:09:15","slug":"genocide-survivor-angry-over-frequent-attacks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/genocide-survivor-angry-over-frequent-attacks\/","title":{"rendered":"Genocide Survivor Angry Over Frequent Attacks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{Unknown people have attacked and dehorned a cow belonging to a genocide survivor in Musanze district.}}<\/p>\n<p>The incidence happened during the wee hours of the night of April 10 at Gatorwa, Cyabararika in Muhoza sector.<\/p>\n<p>The victim only identified as Nyiraneza told media that during the genocide, her home was destroyed and she sought safety in Nyamata in eastern province. <\/p>\n<p>However, IBUKA later rebuilt for her a house on her ancestral land and she later returned to Musanze.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that ever since she returned to her new house in Musanze she has not been a subject of attacks by unknown people but, said she suspects those she had accused in a Gacaca case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know the attackers. I have been patient for too long about these attacks which intensified during the gacaca trials,\u201d Nyiraneza explained adding that in a previous incidence, unknown people dug up her latrine leaving it suspended on a log such that if she went to use it, she would fall into it but she was able to learn about this before she could get injured.<\/p>\n<p>Winifilida Mpembyemungu, Mayor of Musanze District, condemned such attacks and called upon all residents in the area to ensure security of genocide survivors. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-2449 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/errerer.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Nyiraneza<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{{Unknown people have attacked and dehorned a cow belonging to a genocide survivor in Musanze district.}} The incidence happened during the wee hours of the night of April 10 at Gatorwa, Cyabararika in Muhoza sector.
