Braide said she did not know whether a ransom had been paid.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for the British High Commission in Nigeria&#8217;s capital, Abuja, confirmed the man had been released but offered no details.<\/p>\n<p>Kidnappings of foreigners remain common in Nigeria, either for political reasons or for cash ransoms.
