The UN chief has seen economic progress achieved by Rwanda and support to ongoing efforts to restore peace in the Great Lakes region.<\/p>\n
According to an official statement, Ban Ki-Moon will be accompanied by his special envoy for the African Great Lakes, Mary Robinson, and the President of the World Bank, Jim Yong Kim.<\/p>\n
Appointed on March 18, Mary Robinson plays a key role in supporting the implementation by the signatories of the Framework Agreement for peace, security and cooperation in the DRC and the region.<\/p>\n
