{{The Headteacher of APE Rugunga Secondary school in Nyarugenge District has rejected accusations leveled against him that he is behind the promotion of ethnic divisionism at the school.}}<\/p>\n

Saidon Christian told IGIHE he has not in any way engaged in ethnic divisionism or anything that would promote such.<\/p>\n

He said that such allegations could be coming from former teachers that were fired from the school due to poor performance.<\/p>\n

Some teachers told IGIHE that Saidon practices favouritism for some students and teachers and also Harasses others leading to their expulsion from the school.<\/p>\n

Saidon said, \u201cIn reality there is no ethnic divisionism at this school. Even in the previous years when most schools were embroiled in ethnic divisionism, APE Rugunga has never suffered from such.\u201d<\/p>\n

It has been alleged that teachers originally from Congo are highly favoured by Ngirinshuti Etienne the director of studies at the school. <\/p>\n

It\u2019s also claimed that Ngirinshuti discriminates against teachers of Tutsi ethnicity and favours those of Hutu ethnicity. <\/p>\n

However, Saidon rejects the accusations saying those behind these allegations are intent on destroying the schools image because there is no evidence. <\/p>\n
