{"id":6198,"date":"2013-02-28T02:04:42","date_gmt":"2013-02-28T02:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/fespad-12-dance-groups-compete-in-western\/"},"modified":"2013-02-28T02:00:03","modified_gmt":"2013-02-28T02:00:03","slug":"fespad-12-dance-groups-compete-in-western","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/fespad-12-dance-groups-compete-in-western\/","title":{"rendered":"FESPAD: 12 Dance Groups Compete in Western province"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{After the Eastern Province, the city of Kigali and Southern Province, the Western Province was honored to host the Pan African Dance Festival on February 27.}} <\/p>\n<p>The National Dance Competition was held in Karongi District with 12 competing groups opposed to only five in the Southern Province.<\/p>\n<p>Seven cultural troupes were keen to show their dancing potential as well as competing to emerge the winning competitors of Wednesday\u2019s event.<\/p>\n<p>Twizerane troupe from Rubavu won the Competition in Traditional Dances with 78% of marks, Abasamyi Troupe from Nkombo ranked second with 69% score while Inganji z\u2019Imena emerged third with 54%.<\/p>\n<p>Both Abasamyi Troupe and Inganji z\u2019imena came from Karongi District.<\/p>\n<p>In Modern dance, 3 groups were awarded as well as certified to represent the western in Final festival competitions expected in Kigali on 2nd March, 2013.<\/p>\n<p>The three groups are from Nyamasheke, Peace Club from Karongi and Ibyamamare Group from Rusizi.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-2062 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/west.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{{After the Eastern Province, the city of Kigali and Southern Province, the Western Province was honored to host the Pan African Dance Festival on February 27.}} The National Dance Competition was held in Karongi District with 12 competing groups opposed to only five in the Southern Province.
