Their visit is triggered by Rwanda\u2019s reputation in ‘Doing Business’ as well as its high level of security. <\/p>\n
The investors will come from AWEX (Wallonia Export), BIE (Brussels Invest and Export) and FIT (Flanders International Trade).<\/p>\n
Belgian investors made the decision despite recommendations and instructions of the Belgian Minister for Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders, who recommended that the team should consider Burundi instead of Rwanda.<\/p>\n
Minister Reynders told investors that they will receive no help from Belgium Government if they invest in Rwanda.<\/p>\n
A Brussels Parliamentarian, Vincent Lurquin also supports the idea of Reynders.<\/p>\n
Despite the objections from Reynders, Belgian investors find that their interests are different from those of the Belgian political class. <\/p>\n
“These investors received visa according to legal procedure. Any other objection not about Rwanda,” said the Rwandan ambassador Robert Masozera stationed in Brussels. <\/p>\n
Ambassador Masozera told IGIHE that he spends 80% of his time on awareness campaign program encouraging potential investors to invest in Rwanda while at the same time supports investors who want to visit Rwanda.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
