Fran\u00e7ois Byabarumwanzi the Chairperson of the lower chamber\u2019s standing committee on National Unity, Human Rights and the fight against Genocide.<\/p>\n
Byabarumwanzi was speaking during a plenary session where he gave a summary of the report of the Commission on the study of the Bill amending the law on political Parties and politicians.<\/p>\n
He said that the law has been changed so that some of the activities of political Parties will no longer be funded citing trainings and seminars etc.<\/p>\n
However, for the financing of electoral activities, whether the parties registered to FFP or not and even independent candidates will receive funding on condition that they have collected more than 5% of polls in each electoral event.<\/p>\n
