A French family of seven \u2014 including four children \u2014 was kidnapped on Tuesday in northern Cameroon. Officials suggested the involvement of one of Nigeria’s Islamic extremist sects.<\/p>\n
A Cameroonian government official said military helicopters are being used in the search.<\/p>\n
The French gas group GDF Suez identified the captives as an employee working in the Cameroon capital of Yaounde and his family. <\/p>\n
It said the family was vacationing in the north.<\/p>\n
