{{Residents of Nyamagabe District have commended the performance of students enrolled in 12 Year Basic Education schools (12YBE) noting that they rank among best performers in the Southern Province.}}<\/p>\n
Some residents used to complain about poor performance of students enrolled in such schools.<\/p>\n
Among 6 schools that performed well during O\u2019 Level Examination, 5 of them were schools of 12YBE.<\/p>\n
The schools are GS Kibyagira, Buteteri Gasave, Gatare and GS Nyarwungo. <\/p>\n
One of Nyamagabe residents said \u201cWe used to think that these schools cannot perform well, however, we have found that students from these schools have demonstrated a strong ability to win national exams,\u201d Mukakayijuka Christine said.<\/p>\n
9YBE Schools are public schools constructed by residents themselves through a monthly community work \u201cUmuganda\u201d.<\/p>\n
