{"id":56528,"date":"2025-12-12T08:50:34","date_gmt":"2025-12-12T08:50:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/munyengango-and-gatarayiha-promoted-to-the-rank-of-brigadier-general\/"},"modified":"2025-12-15T22:52:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T22:52:06","slug":"munyengango-and-gatarayiha-promoted-to-the-rank-of-brigadier-general","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/munyengango-and-gatarayiha-promoted-to-the-rank-of-brigadier-general\/","title":{"rendered":"Munyengango and Gatarayiha promoted to the rank of Brigadier General"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The promotions were announced on the morning of Friday, December 12, 2025, by the RDF leadership. <\/p>\n<p>Innocent Munyengango, Commander of the Logistics Brigade and Fran\u00e7ois Regis Gatarayiha, Head of Defence Intelligence Department at RDF Headquarters were elevated from the rank of Colonel to Brigadier General.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, 43 officers holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel were promoted to Colonel, while 253 with the rank of Major were elevated to Lieutenant Colonel.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 79 Captains were promoted to Major, and 299 Lieutenants were elevated to Captain.<\/p>\n<p>Among others, eleven soldiers moved from the rank of Staff Sergeant to Sergeant Major.
