The awards ceremony, held at Kampala Serena Hotel on Saturday, celebrated excellence in African music. The Ben\u2019s hit single \u201cTrue Love\u201d earned him the prestigious accolade, beating out other major hits including Mbosso\u2019s \u201cPawa\u201d, Vestine & Dorcas\u2019 \u201cYebo\u201d, and Karole Kasita\u2019s \u201cGo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ugandan artist Joshua Baraka dominated the night, sweeping multiple awards including Africa\u2019s Number One, East Africa\u2019s Best Artist, Best Male Artist, and Artist of the Year.<\/p>\n

Ugandan singer Ava Peace also made a mark, taking home two awards, including Best Female Artist.<\/p>\n

Other performers who lit up the stage included Khalifa Aganaga, MUN G, Happy Kyazze, Augustine Mukisa, Carol Komeza, Serena Bata, and Roden Y Kabako, thrilling the audience with their live performances.<\/p>\n
