{"id":56013,"date":"2025-10-20T16:12:49","date_gmt":"2025-10-20T16:12:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwanda-showcases-transformation-through-culture-and-dance-in-moscow\/"},"modified":"2025-10-20T16:12:40","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T16:12:40","slug":"rwanda-showcases-transformation-through-culture-and-dance-in-moscow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwanda-showcases-transformation-through-culture-and-dance-in-moscow\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwanda showcases transformation through culture and dance in Moscow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The festival took place at the State Tretyakov Gallery with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Tretyakov Gallery.<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, Rwanda\u2019s Ambassador to Russia, Major General Joseph Nzabamwita reflected on Rwanda\u2019s journey over the past thirty years, describing how the country has rebuilt itself from tragedy into a story of unity and progress. <\/p>\n<p>He emphasized the role of cultural traditions in Rwanda\u2019s socio-economic development, noting that heritage promotion remains central to the nation\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCulture is a bridge that connects people and helps us see one another beyond borders,\u201d he said. \u201cIt deepens understanding and strengthens bonds of friendship, all in the spirit of genuine people-to-people diplomacy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador thanked the festival organizers for providing a platform for Rwanda\u2019s cultural troupe, Imena mu Nganzo, to share the country\u2019s story through dance and music. <\/p>\n<p>Founded by Rwandan students in Moscow, the troupe represents a new generation of Rwandans who keep their homeland close through art.<\/p>\n<p>Their vibrant performance captivated the audience, bringing Rwanda\u2019s rhythm and heartbeat to Moscow. The audience responded with admiration, with many expressing eagerness to experience more of Rwanda\u2019s culture.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cAfrica.
