{"id":5543,"date":"2013-02-01T02:09:02","date_gmt":"2013-02-01T02:09:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/police-arrests-two-men-for-murdering-teen-girl\/"},"modified":"2013-02-01T02:17:13","modified_gmt":"2013-02-01T02:17:13","slug":"police-arrests-two-men-for-murdering-teen-girl","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/police-arrests-two-men-for-murdering-teen-girl\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Arrests 2 Men For Murdering Teen Girl"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-1930 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/gg-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>{{Police in Gisagara District has arrested two men(pictured above) suspected to have killed an 11-year old girl.}}<\/p>\n<p>The suspects; Philemon Sindayigaya 18, and Theogene Ndekezi 25, were arrested in Gikonko cell, Gikonko sector on January 30 for allegedly killing Alice Muhoza.<\/p>\n<p>The girl, who was a pupil at Gikonko primary school, was killed as she returned home from school at about 1:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>Police preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased found the suspects stealing beans at her grandmother\u2019s house, where she was staying at the time.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects, who confessed to the crime, said they killed Muhoza to easily kill the \u201conly evidence\u201d that would have linked them to the theft.<\/p>\n<p>They were identified by area residents after seeing blood stains on their shirts as they tried to change clothes. They immediately notified police, which led to their arrest.<\/p>\n<p>Area residents identified the suspects as loiterers and drug addicts.<\/p>\n<p>They are currently under custody at Gikonko Police Station.<\/p>\n<p>Southern Region Police Spokesman, Supt Herbert Gashagaza, who condemned the gruesome murder and the subsequent arrest, said \u201cthey will be charged with murder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gashagaza urged the community to join the campaign against all forms of illegal acts such as drug abuse, which he said is the major cause of other crimes.<\/p>\n<p>RNP<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{{Police in Gisagara District has arrested two men(pictured above) suspected to have killed an 11-year old girl.}} The suspects; Philemon Sindayigaya 18, and Theogene Ndekezi 25, were arrested in Gikonko cell, Gikonko sector on January 30 for allegedly killing Alice Muhoza.
