{"id":54766,"date":"2025-07-04T19:06:54","date_gmt":"2025-07-04T19:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/kagame-shares-how-he-would-spend-a-day-as-an-ordinary-rwandan\/"},"modified":"2025-07-04T19:09:25","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T19:09:25","slug":"kagame-shares-how-he-would-spend-a-day-as-an-ordinary-rwandan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/kagame-shares-how-he-would-spend-a-day-as-an-ordinary-rwandan\/","title":{"rendered":"President Kagame shares how he would spend a day as an ordinary citizen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Speaking during a conversation with the media on Friday as Rwanda marked the 31st anniversary of Liberation Day, Kagame reflected on how his perspective has evolved with age. <\/p>\n<p>In response to a question from a journalist asking what he would do, where he would go, and what he would hope to learn if he could live one day as an ordinary citizen, the president dove into personal memories.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany things,\u201d Kagame began. \u201cIf it was long ago and I was still young, I would go skydiving, I would go bungee jumping \u2014 I would do some of these crazy things.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He revealed that such adrenaline-filled activities were not foreign to him in his earlier years. \u201cI used to do some of them when I was still young,\u201d he noted. <\/p>\n<p>Kagame also hinted at a deep yearning for unstructured fun. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t drink, but I would have as much fun as you know falls in the normal brackets of fun, almost without limit,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish I could be younger.
