{"id":53820,"date":"2025-04-10T19:50:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-10T19:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/alain-mukuralinda-laid-to-rest\/"},"modified":"2025-04-11T16:04:53","modified_gmt":"2025-04-11T16:04:53","slug":"alain-mukuralinda-laid-to-rest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/alain-mukuralinda-laid-to-rest\/","title":{"rendered":"Alain Mukuralinda laid to rest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The requiem mass drew a distinguished crowd, including ministers, Prosecutor General Angelique Habyarimana, Government Spokesperson Yolande Makolo, Rwanda National Police Spokesperson ACP Boniface Rutikanga, and Rwanda Broadcasting Agency Director General Cleophas Barore, among others. <\/p>\n<p>Musicians, artists, and athletes also gathered to pay their respects.<\/p>\n<p>A well-known figure in Rwanda\u2019s arts community, Mukuralinda was celebrated by entertainers such as Clapton Kibonke, Ndimbati, DJ Bisoso, DJ Ira, and Mico The Best. <\/p>\n<p>In tribute to his contributions, artists composed a song honoring his legacy in the music industry. <\/p>\n<p>During a funeral service held the evening before his burial, Muyoboke Alex reflected on Mukuralinda\u2019s pivotal role in advancing the sector, urging others to preserve his progress.<\/p>\n<p>Mukuralinda\u2019s love for sports was equally evident. Athletes and coaches from his former team, Tsinda Batsinde, attended to honor his memory. <\/p>\n<p>A passionate football enthusiast, he founded a youth football team and composed the anthem \u201cTsinda Batsinde\u201d for Rwanda\u2019s national team, Amavubi, alongside other popular songs cherished by local clubs.<\/p>\n<p>In his homily, Cardinal Kambanda spoke of the profound loss felt by those who knew Mukuralinda. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDeath is painful when it takes someone like Alain Mukuralinda\u2014someone vital to his family and destined for even greater things.
