{{Rwanda\u2019s Attorney General, Ngoga Martin, has said France is not fully cooperating with Rwanda on cases of extraditing Genocide fugitives.}}<\/p>\n
The Attorney was responding to questions of Jeune Afrique.<\/p>\n
Ngoga criticized some of the decisions taken by French Courts including the regularization of Agathe Habyarimana, considered as one of the masterminds of the 1994 genocide and the rejection of extraditing Hyacinthe Nsengiyumva and V\u00e9nuste Nyombayire, two former officials of the Habyarimana regime.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe court implied that our charges were political. We found the remark offensive and ridiculous. French judges should know that their country is the only one that had no open trial.\u201d <\/p>\n
Ngoga noted that there have been charges in many other European countries, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries, and this was done on the basis of Rwanda\u2019s charges. <\/p>\n
