{"id":50789,"date":"2024-06-10T13:03:21","date_gmt":"2024-06-10T13:03:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/met-department-forecasts-high-temperatures-of-up-to-32oc-over-the-next-three\/"},"modified":"2024-06-12T13:20:34","modified_gmt":"2024-06-12T13:20:34","slug":"met-department-forecasts-high-temperatures-of-up-to-32oc-over-the-next-three","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/met-department-forecasts-high-temperatures-of-up-to-32oc-over-the-next-three\/","title":{"rendered":"Met department forecasts high temperatures of up to 32\u00b0C over the next three months"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a statement on Monday, June 10, Meteo Rwanda Director General Aimable Gahigi said that parts of the Bugarama plain are expected to record higher maximum temperatures compared to other parts of the country, with temperatures ranging between 30\u00b0C and 32\u00b0C for the months of June, July, and August.<\/p>\n<p>Eastern Province, Eastern parts of Kamonyi, Ruhango, Nyanza and Gisagara Districts, Kigali City will also experience warmer conditions with maximum temperature ranging between 28\u00b0C and 30\u00b0C. The parts of highland areas including the Volcanoes National Park are expected to record lower maximum temperature than other parts of the country and will vary between 22\u00b0C to 24\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the expected minimum temperature will range between 10\u00b0C and 18\u00b0C across the country, which is above the normal minimum temperature during the June, July and August season, which range between 7\u00b0C and 16\u00b0C. <\/p>\n<p>The forecast shows that Musanze, Burera, Nyabihu and few parts of Rubavu and Gakenke districts will be cooler than the other parts of the country during the three-month period with the temperature varying between 10\u00b0C and 12\u00b0C. Additionally, parts of Bugarama plain, and most parts of Kirehe District and southern part of Kayonza District are expected to have higher minimum temperature ranging between 16\u00b0C and 18\u00b0C.<br \/>\nRainfall<\/p>\n<p>The forecast indicates that the country will experience normal rainfall during June and July across the country, and above-normal rainfall during August.
