{"id":50295,"date":"2024-03-23T21:58:49","date_gmt":"2024-03-23T21:58:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/travelogue-of-china-2024-journalists-from-32-countries-explore-the-beauty-of\/"},"modified":"2024-03-24T01:10:23","modified_gmt":"2024-03-24T01:10:23","slug":"travelogue-of-china-2024-journalists-from-32-countries-explore-the-beauty-of","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/travelogue-of-china-2024-journalists-from-32-countries-explore-the-beauty-of\/","title":{"rendered":"Travelogue of China 2024: Journalists from 32 countries explore beauty of Jiangsu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The activity spanning six days provided an opportunity for foreign journalists to participate in site visits, exchange interactions, and immersive experiences in Wuxi City located in Southeast China&#8217;s Jiangsu Province, Taizhou, Changshu and other areas to explore the modern technology within China\u2019s economic development, and experience the three cities&#8217; beautiful scenery, rich culture and modernization achievements.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the explored projects include the Taihu Lake\u2019s Ecological Dredging Project, Wuxi film production studio, and the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge with construction overseen by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), a multinational engineering and construction company primarily engaged in the design, construction and operation of infrastructure assets.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the programme, journalists also attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Wuxi \u201cInternational Month\u201d and International Cherry Blossom Week at Wuxi International Conference Center. <\/p>\n<p>Located in East China\u2019s Jiangsu Province, Wuxi City hosts the annual Cherry Blossoming Festival every March. It is held at a time when thousands of wonderful cherry trees are in full bloom offering a scenic spot.  <\/p>\n<p>Usually,  the festival kicks off together with the Wuxi International Month providing an opportunity to both celebrate cherry blossoms, boost friendship and communications between Wuxi and other countries.<\/p>\n<p>During this month, the city is expected to carry out international activities in the fields of culture, sports, science and technology, and economic exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>Originating from a Sino-Japanese friendship event in the 1980s, the festival has earned a global reputation. <\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the opening of the Travelogue of China 2024, Wu Hailong, President of the China Public Diplomacy Association, emphasized the importance of viewing China through a lens of dynamism and progress, observing its trends, potential, and the forces driving its development. <\/p>\n<p>Huang Weigong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Wuxi Municipal Party Committee, also mphasized the significant progress that Wuxi has made in economic development, industrial innovation, and international cooperation. <\/p>\n<p>The \u201cTravelogue of China\u201d activity is guided by the Network Communication Bureau of the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission, jointly hosted by the China Public Diplomacy Association and Global Times Online, and co-organized by the Office of the Wuxi Municipal Cyberspace Affairs Commission, Foreign Affairs Office of Wuxi Municipal People\u2019s Government, and Wuxi Cultural Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64765\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/08-img_1007.jpg\" alt=\"The silt at the bottom of the lake is pumped onto Taihu Star platform. \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64764\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/07-img_0926.jpg\" alt=\"Journalists were also taken on a tour to Taihu Lake\u2019s Dredging Project. \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64762\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/06-img_0732.jpg\" alt=\"The dredging project in Lake Taihu covers an area of approximately 28.9 square kilometers. \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64766\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/09-img_1249.jpg\" alt=\"Taihu Lake offers a scenic view. \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64767\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/10-img_1275.jpg\" alt=\"A boat carrying passengers on Lake Taihu. \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64761\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/04-img_0189.jpg\" alt=\"Wuxi film production studio was among visited sites. \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64760\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/03-img_9262.jpg\" alt=\"Wuxi City is located in Southeast China&#039;s Jiangsu Province. \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64768\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/11-img_1615.jpg\" alt=\"The construction of Changtai Yangtze River Bridge is overseen by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC). \" \/><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-64769\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/12-img_1851.jpg\" alt=\"Exploring Changshu offers great adventure.
