On the other hand, the cost of &#8216;imported products&#8217; increased by 8.8 percent annually and 1.8 percent on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n<p>In line with the NISR report, prices for &#8216;fresh products&#8217; rose significantly by 37.1 percent on an annual basis and 12.3 percent on a monthly basis. &#8216;Energy&#8217; costs experienced a 3.1 percent annual increase and a monthly uptick of 1.7 percent.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8216;general Index excluding fresh products and energy&#8217; also displayed notable inflationary pressures, with an 8.3 percent annual increase and a 1 percent monthly increase.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-60352\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/arton47516.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{The latest report from the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR) has indicated that the country&#8217;s Consumer Price Index (CPI), the primary measure of inflation, surged by 13.9 percent on a year-on-year basis in September 2023.
