The meeting follows Calmeyer\u2019s visit to Rwanda where she is hosting guests of \u2018The greatest safari on earth special trip\u2019 organised by ROAR Africa an ultra-luxe company specialising in African trips.<\/p>\n

The company was founded by Deborah Clameyer 17 years ago and each year, in two phases, it organises a \u2018life changing journey\u2019: \u2018The Greatest Safari on Earth\u2019, an African exclusive trip that touches four of Africa’s most iconic destinations in Zimbabwe, Botswana, Kenya, and Rwanda.<\/p>\n

The journey begins in Dubai onboard the \u2018sumptuous Emirates Executive Private Jet\u2019, then a 12-day sojourn visiting Matetsi Victoria falls in Zimbabwe, Xigera safari lodge in Botswana, Angama Mara in Kenya and the \u2018one and only\u2019 gorilla\u2019s nest (trip one) or Singita kwitonda (trip two) in Rwanda\u2019s Volcanoes National Park.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s first trip was from 13th-25th, August 2023 while the second started on 26th, August 2023 and will end on 7th September 2023. Next year\u2019s trips are slated for 10th to 22nd, August 2024 and 25th August to 6th September 2024 respectively.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Rwanda has immensely invested in tourism through \u2018Visit Rwanda\u2019 partnerships with Arsenal FC, Paris Saint-Germain and recently Bayern FC. <\/p>\n

This has seen the country boosting tourism revenues as indicated by Rwanda Development Board (RDB). <\/p>\n

Current tourism statistics show that Rwanda\u2019s revenue from tourism amounted to US$247 million during the first half of 2023, reflecting a notable 56% surge compared to the US$158 million reported during the same period in 2022.<\/p>\n
