Vijay currently has two trending songs released in March and April 2023. <\/p>\n
These include ‘Victim’ with Niyo Bosco and ‘Oya’ with Afrique. In an interview with IGIHE, Vijay revealed that his music career began during his childhood.<\/p>\n
“I always loved music as it has always been a part of my life. I first realized the depth of my love for music when I started to discover my individual taste,” he said, adding that he started truly appreciating music at age 14 or 15, as he developed a connection to the words and the feelings it evoked.<\/p>\n
Vijay mentioned that the Covid-19 pandemic taught him that life is short, and it’s essential to pursue one’s dreams during this limited time. Hence, he is now in Rwanda to fulfill his aspirations.<\/p>\n
After exploring music industries in various countries, Vijay fell in love with Rwandan music. <\/p>\n
He decided to collaborate with Rwandan artistes because he feels a strong connection to the country. <\/p>\n
“Rwanda has given me many things in my life. I am always touched by its natural beauty, culture, people’s behavior, and African pop songs always inspire me,” he said.<\/p>\n
Over the past few years, Vijay has been planning to produce his pop songs with Rwandan singers. <\/p>\n
“After facing a few obstacles, I am proud to present my debut pop songs under the name ‘Oya.’ My passion for the club scene inspired me to create these tracks,” he added.<\/p>\n
Vijay’s future plans include working with more Rwandan artists. <\/p>\n
“I want to create more space in the music industry for new ideas and Rwandan artists. I want to see expansion in music industry in drama, web series, and movies. I want to see Rwandan music industry growth like other industries and countries,” he said.<\/p>\n
When asked about his goals for the next five years, Vijay shared that he dreams of putting his music on top not only in Rwanda or India but all over the globe.<\/p>\n
