{"id":47860,"date":"2023-04-15T07:00:00","date_gmt":"2023-04-15T07:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/suspended-sentence-for-twitter-user-over-encouraging-defilement-of-girls\/"},"modified":"2023-04-15T06:49:16","modified_gmt":"2023-04-15T06:49:16","slug":"suspended-sentence-for-twitter-user-over-encouraging-defilement-of-girls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/suspended-sentence-for-twitter-user-over-encouraging-defilement-of-girls\/","title":{"rendered":"Suspended sentence for Twitter user over encouraging defilement of girls"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tuyisenge, who goes by the handle &#8220;NTAMA W&#8217;IMANA 2,&#8221; was arrested on March 21 after making a tweet promoting defilement.<\/p>\n<p>During his April 6 hearing, Tuyisenge was represented by his lawyer, Innocent Muramira. <\/p>\n<p>The prosecution charged him with &#8216;Publication of Pornographic Images through a Computer or a Computer System&#8217; and requested a three-year imprisonment. <\/p>\n<p>The prosecution stated that Tuyisenge had shared messages encouraging people to defile children, including a tweet on March 13 that read, &#8220;Girls under the age of 17 taste good.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The judge issued a three-year suspended sentence and a fine of Rwf1m to Tuyisenge.
